GEOCACHING
Geocaching
Nighttime in Valley of the Gods offers stargazers an incredible opportunity to see more stars than we can remember at any other place. With no nearby population areas of any size, the night sky is black, especially when the moon is down. One of us had to take a natural break in the middle of the night and went outside to marvel at seeing more stars than at any other time.

In the morning as we drove out, we stopped a few miles from the highway for an impromptu geocache search. We and the dogs walked a half mile or so from the road to the base of a formation called “Seven Sailors” where we located a rusted gallon paint can packed with small treasures, a log, and writing stick waiting for us to log in our successful find.
